@mac.com and Changes on the server

I have two queries in pertinent to Mobileme;

1) My @mac.com ID aint working. I can login using the same in a client; however I am not able to receive any emails at @mac.com. Do I only get @me.com when I create a new ID thru me.com?

2) If I delete or make any changes on my iPhone, the same is not reflected on the server. Is anyone facing the same issue?
