iphone 3g and skype

Hi, has anyone used skype on their iphone, googled it and apparently you can?

All I really need is to be able to receive calls over the net (voip), if not skype any suggestions?

I am in the UK so would need a landline type number

Just download it from the Appstore & install. Go to their website & register for a Skype account, choose a plan & start using the application on your iPhone.
