Well said. We'll see.

How do I know if I have an Exchange server in my company?? I mean, my company is really small, we do have a website and email (duh!), but how can I find out if my server is MS exchange?

A little OT but if you use Outlook (eg Outlook 2003), goto Mail accounts (under Tools), click "Next"... this screen will show your account. It will say "Exchange" if you're running Exchange.

Alternatively when you right-click on the outlook mail icon in the taskbar (next to the clock), the top item will usually say "show exchange server messages". Sometimes companies will also setup the web-based e-mail—see if mail.yourcompanyname.com brings you to the outlook web access (you'll need your username/password).

Look at your email client (Outlook, etc) and see how the account is set up. If it is POP or IMAP, it isn't Exchange. You will be able to tell when you look at your account settings I bet.

It's Pop! Does that mean I can't use MS exchange?

Maybe I'll be able to forward to my @me.com email address which would do the trick

I would suggest he check with his IT staff before switching to IMAP since they may be using one of many mail servers that auto setup both POP and IMAP but limit mailbox sizes, rendering IMAP almost useless for storing anything.
