Default Calendar sync option

Everything syncs from mobile me with my itouch except the outlook 2007 calendar. When I go to mobile me prefs in the control panel of my pc and click the sync tab, the calendar option is "grayed out" or unavailable to be checked. Any ideas on how to make the calendar option available to me? Thanks!!

I am having the same problem with Outlook 2003, although my tab is not grayed out and is selected to sync. Alas, nothing will sync from or to my Outlook calendar.

Ok, after a little experimenting this is what I am finding. If I make a calendar entry on my iPhone and then click Sync on my Windows XP desktop (MobileMe Preferences - Sync Tab), the appointment shows up in "the Cloud" but not Outlook. But, if I make the entry in Outlook and then do the same Sync, it shows up on my iPhone.

So, is there a setting for the Outlook calendar that allows you to choose 2-way sync versus 1-way sync? Or, is this just a restriction of MobileMe?

Has anyone tried using google calendar? It has a sync function and if you can sync through Itunes etc. than it will sync to your outlook on other computers as well. works excellent for me with 07 running on two separate computers. I am able to keep OL on 2 computers & my iphone all synced up perfectly- only need to plug in & run sync to keep things current.

Steve, I have OL 2003 at home and OL 2007 at my office and trying to get the calendars synced is a problem I get appointments duplicated etc. I am signed up with google and know how to use their calendar. Please explain more in depth how you are making this all work with OL. My 3G is not jail broke.

Thanks,

Jerry

u need 2 sign up for a google calendar. Then u need outlook as well. You dl googles cal sync a d choose your option of 1 way sync or 2.
You don't need a calendar on your computer if you just use the G cal.
I started this way b cause I had a touch - wifi only. But then Got the phone. I don't like 2 wait for it 2 load.

I was the Apple store yesterday and there is no way to synch your Outlook, Mobile Me and iphone without a bunch of workarounds.
