Hello. My name is Patrick. I've been having this problem with my iphone 3Gs, friends are complaining that I sound soft over the phone when I call them.
I read your post last year about disassembling your phone, and finding some black clothlike material covering the mic and speaker.
I assume you're using iphone 3G? I wonder how different is that from my 3Gs. You mentioned you saw a black material covering the mic that is stuck to it. When I open the cover of my phone, I see the mic wrapped around a black rubber-like material, is that the same thing? I can't seem to remove it though. Seems like it's stuck inside, and I can't seem to find anything that could be blocking the mic as well. *sigh*
do you have any good suggestions on what I can try? Really appreciate your help.
