It was me who said that!
Writing "Gift" over the package "may" help you get less attention (as in underpricing the package)
But either way,"gift" or not...the customs do open and check the package!!
and so,customs duties are charged either way!
Your best bet may be to,
Check with other people from Egypt who have got their stuff,shipped from US.or scoop through your local forums...
