This is a discussion on wtf? my macbook changed within the MacBook forums, part of the Apple Hardware and Software category; So for the past few months to turn the volume up or down, i would just hit i believe its ...
So for the past few months to turn the volume up or down, i would just hit i believe its F11 and F12...But all of the sudden now if i do that it doesnt turn the volume up or down. it swipes the page off the screen. Now i have to hold the function key with F11 or F12...how can i change that back???
It has something to do with the function key. I bet if you hit fn + F11/F12 it will change the volume.

Oh I guess I missed that last part.
Go to system preferences > keyboard and mouse > keyboard >
and theres a checkbox you want to uncheck
