Camera/Webcam not working

Just recently downloaded skype and i was adjusting my settings and it wanted to do something with my isight camera (the built in camera).

i found it wouldnt work..

i then loaded photo booth and it still wouldn't work....

Any ideas on why this has happened, i dont think skype has anything to do with it.

What kind of errors are you receiving when you open photobooth?

Does it happen to be showing a green screen? If so, I've had that before - I believe rebooting fixed it.

thanks for your replies and sorry for getting back to you so late...

i turn the macbook on and off and it it still didnt clear.

i then thought it may because the battery was low, so i assumed it may have been a power saving type thing.

so i left it, and randomly clicked on it to find it working again!

i'm confused, but glad that it works again

thanks for your help.

(with regards to the green screen- i never had that, it was just the symbol you sort of get on the ichat icon, like a white video camera with a white cross through it and a black background)
