Default The right time?

So I'm getting a MacBook pro before I head off to college and I was going to get it today but before going to the store I was looking through the macrumors website and there are threads talking about an update to come soon. Anyone hear about this and would like to share insight? I know its all speculation but now it seems foolish for me not to wait unless later to get the computer since my old desktop still works. Anyway I figured I'd bring this up for discussion since I'm sure there are some other college students on here who might like to know this information. Keep in mind, none of what I'm saying is proven its just what I've learned from a friend who works at apple and also from the "reliable" list of rumors on macrumors. For those people who have gotten a MBP recently I don't mean to upset you (if you are upset) and if its any help I'm sure any upgrade will be insignficant and barely noticable if at all. Its probably just a technique to make people think they need to upgrade to the new model.

Let's hear what people think.

got mine in february, and i'm not worried. they just upgraded the processors, and there was no mention of new models at the WWDC... Anyway, i graduate next year, so if they do update them, i'll be able to afford a new one.
