right on I'm far from low on cash I just believe in not spending extra money if I don't need to. I bought the MacBook because I thought the pro wouldn't be a prudent financial decision based on what I use it for. And photoshop does run fine on the MacBook.

If I was short on cash so to speak I'd be using an HP laptop with vista not saying people who use them are short on cash don't want to get flamed! They are an excellent choice for the price if you can stand vista. MS lost me with vista.

My reason for getting the MacBook really is simple; I've wanted one for a very long time. Everyone I know has windows laptops; even myself. For the price I paid ($1100.), I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I still havent uograded my RAM yet, but that's ok; for now, it's running just great.

I'm buying a Macbook Pro for college next year because:
I will be majoring in graphic design, the LED backlit screen, backlit keyboard, higher screen resoluton, overall good looks, and so that I will have a machine I can use for four or five years without having to upgrade.

The Macbook Pro just feels like a better made machine to me. Multi touch track pad is cool, but not a major buying concern.

I think this is a good choice. I just got my new MacBook Pro in March, and it is an amazing computer. I have had no problems with it and it works so well. It looks good and I get compliments on it all the time. The big trouble is trying to not scratch it up.
