Default I really want a MBP

Like sooooo bad.. I am thinking about going and picking one up how are they? I played with one at the apple store and fell in love instantly. I am getting ready to go to school for graphic design and you have to have one so that just gives me one more reason to go and get one. I have been a windows nerd all my life and made the switch to apple one time for 4 months and had just a regular white mac book and someone stole it right out of my house and then after that I never went back because I simply did not have the money. I have an ASUS gaming laptop right now but screw that I want a MBP. What you guys think?

I think you should get a MBP. You'll love it!

You can't go wrong with the MBP. I bought my first one on Sept. 1st. It is the first Apple computer I have ever owned, being a Windows user my entire computing life. I'm still learning new things everyday I use it. It is such a stable OS. I can't get over how quickly it boots up and shuts down (it shuts down in 3 seconds for me). Now that they have Snow Leopard and the new aluminum, uni-bodies I feel it is a great time to buy if you can arrange the cost factor. I bought it all on credit card but have paid it off rapidly.

It is such an elegantly designed notebook. There is something to be said about Apple's attention to detail and their minimalistic design. What is really impressive is the LED screens which are incredibly thin but the resolution is breath taking.

I became a Mac owner on Black Friday in 2008. I just have the standard MacBook 2.0GHz Aluminum but it outperforms a most windows notebooks running Vista. I compare with people at my college all the time lol. Sometimes I have a urge to play a game so I just dust off the old desktop, but other than that I'm exclusively Mac now

I have the early '08 MacBook Pro 2.5 GHz. It is so freaking amazing and I know that the newer ones are even more impressive. Go for it, you won't regret your decision. I think you should buy Apple Care too because the optical drive will eventually give you a hard time and you'll have to get it replaced because removing the dust every time is not going to help, it's like a temporary solution only. Good luck .

I think I'm going to buy it on Amazon for $199 sometime this week since my year is on Oct. 30th.

Good luck with that, it's awesome. What do you mean your year is on Oct. 30th? Your birthday?

You'll have a lot of people supporting you but at the same time a lot of people envying you and telling you that you wasted your money ;P.

I think she means her warranty. So she will get Apple Care for $199 before her warranty expires.

I have owned nearly every Apple laptop since 2007. I've own a 15" MBP, white MB, black MB, MB Air, another MBP, and now I'm on a 13" MBP Unibody. So far the MBP unibody has been the most powerful, even though my black MB had better specs. I REALLY enjoy and utilize the mutlitouch trackpad. To me, that was the biggest thing as far as UI.

If you've switched and are happy, you'll really enjoy the MBP, even a "lower end" model. When I bought my first MBP, I told the guy, "I'll take the low end MBP". He laughed and said "That's like saying I'll take the low end Ferrari".
