How did you pay for your previous iPhone 3GS and computers? I put my MBP on my credit card, but made sure I could pay it all off in a few months. Maybe, you could put some on a credit card and then pay the rest upfront in cash.

I have one major credit card, American Express since 2006. I pay the entire bill the month it's due, no matter what the cost. I've never had to do "two payments" on a single bill. Ever. I think this helped a lot with my credit score. I'd recommend getting a major credit card and just keep good with them.

Yeeah I have quite a few credit cards maybe like 2 at the most I always keep them in good standing.
