autocomplete email addresses and Iphone syncing

Hi
I hope someone can help here.

I noticed that the autocomplete email addresses that are stored in my mail program have been deleted.

I had used them a lot as i havent entered proper contacts for the emails as yet.

I am using an Iphone also and syncing this, I have recently synced a lot more than i used to. has this had an effect?

The 'Previous recipients' option is only showing addresses within the last week. I have not deleted anything from there either.

Please help as i have lost a lot of email addresses.
