However, I can attest that it is speedy and convenient. If size isn't that important, it is a great little computer. For those worried about ports: I've got a tiny 4-port Belkin USB hub connecting a track ball (I'm addicted to those), the superdrive(*) and the iPhone to the only USB port. One left!
Network detected all the other computers in the house without configuration.
I can't wait to take it on a trip to Texas on Thursday.
Texas isn't my idea of a vacation, but it will do.

(*) On the minus side, I just discovered that the superdrive works only if connected directly to the MBA...
Does your Belkin hub get AC power? Maybe the Superdrive needs more power than a passive USB hub can deliver.

Apple has gone on record and stated that thier superdrive would only work w/the MBA and a direct connection. You are right; it draws more power than the standard usb port gives, so it won't work with anything else. Kinda of a good marketing ploy; how many people would buy an external burner for 99? Seems cheap, but it could be me.

On topic: I got my MBA yesterday. I installed Office 2008 via remote disk. Wasn't painful, wasn't awesome. Then when I tried to connect to MSN messenger, it JACKED up my internet to the point where it wouldn't work. I had to reboot to get it to work. The overall speed so far isn't bad, and not that noticeable. I am noticing this very second that I need to change some setting, because when I am typing this, my palms are hitting the pad, and it's moving the cursor on me.

If I get some time tonight, I plan on doing a review if any one is interested.

Yes, he's right. The superdrive won't work unless plugged directly in the MBA.
It doesn't matter if the Belkin power supply is plugged in.
