I have no idea if this is possible but I really don't know all that much about OSX yet. I bought a set of very nice Polish-English English-Polish dictionaries awhile back. They came with a CD but of course, the CD only works for windows. I know I could setup bootcamp and run it that way but from my understand on how bootcamp works that is just a pain (You actually boot into windows right?). Is there anything out there that can get this CD running while still in OSX? A way to convert .exe files for example? Something out there like WINE for Linux?

you could try CROSSOVER. 15 day demo should give you enough time to if it works.

What's wrong with Bootcamp? It's very easy to setup and it's quick too.

There is a version of WINE for OS X, called "Darwine". I played Unreal Tournament with it and it worked fine (after MESSING WITH IT FOR SEVERAL HOURS...well not several, but a long time).

Huh? Bootcamp requires a licensed copy of Windows and substantial time in installing and setting up Windows. The OP wanted something quick to just run his one program.

Then I recommend Darwine (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...4HuNjoQSgeXb4A). It's like WINE on Linux, but for Mac. He could try that. It's free and it may work.

You could try Crossover, but it's basically the same thing, but you have to pay for it.

OK, I'm giving darwine a go first, if it doesn't work I'll look at crossover. Is my understanding of how bootcamp works correct? You actually boot into Windows rather than OSX, so every time I want to use the program I have to boot into Windows. I have a copy of it, just seems more trouble than it's worth.

Yeah, it boots the actual operating system. Although it would be good to have, just in case you need to run another Windows program, then you'll be ready for it without any compatibility issues.
