Default Display picture fix for MSN 7.01

Hey there,

When I installed this, I noticed a small issue was that you couldn't change your display picture for whatever error it says, usually "Wrong file type" or whatever. This is due to Microsoft forgetting something in their latest installer. A lot of fixes suggest that you should install the previous version and then install 7.01 on top of that. That way is longer, takes more space, and it's more tedious. To fix your display picture problem (and most likely other issues as well), do this:

Create this directory: ~\Documents\Microsoft User Data\

That's it! You don't even have to restart MSN. Now you can change your display picture. Example below:

Enjoy guys!

I can easily change display pictures on Microsoft Messenger 7.0.1. I did have 7.0.0 before it but it didn't want to let me login, whenever I tried it always said "Incorrect username and password" while they were correct. After I updated to Mac OS X 10.5.5 and installed Microsoft Messenger 7.0.1, it worked just fine.

Thank you for the tip mate.

Read the manual. I was fairly new to Mac OSX at the time of this thread myself, and it wasn't that hard to figure out.
