Default Different windows up on safari?

Hi everyone! I just recently got the new unibody macbook, i love it! I should of gotten one a long time ago! lol Anyways, when I'm in safari is there anyway i can have multiple windows up? Where I can just go back and forth if i needed to? Sorry about my dumb question, i just really don't know anything about mac laptops.

anytime you click a link in safari, hold down the apple key while clicking. This will open the link in a new tab.

sorry, I guess it's no longer reffered to as the "apple key". It's the command key located directly left of the spacebar.
