First off, thats a little rude.
I know there are two different types of Snow-Leopard, Single and Multiple users for different computers.
I also know that it is in fact an add-on to Leopard. Hence the name. Although you are right in what you are saying about it being a full OS.
If you have Tiger then it's a totally different kettle of fish, you would need to pay a higher amount to get the OS running on you machine.
(In addition, I'm only going from what I've been told by someone that works for apple here in the UK)
