I use it. It works very well, though it crashes every now and then. I never buy ringtones from Apple anymore and use this all the time.

Just curious. Why would you use this when you have GarageBand? Does it do more?

I think iPhoneRingtoneMaker allows you to make ringtones using songs purchased through iTunes whereas GarageBand does not. I'm not 100% certain though as I don't use iRM.

Might be a little more trouble, but what I do is burn the song to a cd-rw. After that, you can import it into GarageBand and make your ringtone. Of course now, with so much being dram free in iTunes, it is becoming less of a problem.

Ah yeah that does work. If I want to make a ringtone with an iTunes downloaded song I'll usually just download the same song elsewhere and make a ringtone with it. I still don't see the point of paying $0.99 to make a ringtone with music I already purchased.

Exactly, and after yesterday isn't it $1.29? Insane.

I think it's more out of habit. On my last Mac that I had when I first got the iPhone, I had uninstalled GarageBand when I got it since I didn't have a use for it. I didn't want to go and install it and just started using ringtone makers like iToner and iPhoneRingtoneMaker. I have Garageband on my new Mac, but I still never use it.
