Well, have fun with your new MBA!

The longer I've had mine, the more I like it. I felt "guilty" about buying a laptop I didn't really need at first, but now it's my favorite.
I rarely use a direct Ethernet connection, but occasionally I need it, and I have that USB ethernet plug that works in the Belkin hub if necessary.

I use a small 15-inch MacBook bag for transport, with small pockets for my extra-stuff.

I just love it.

Just ordered the Invisible Shield and that should keep it pristine. Will probably add the Waterfield sleeve down the road. Decided against the manilla route as I bet the novelty would wear off.

Now I'm hoping Amazon somehow decides to ship tonight for tomorrow. Then again, I'd like to get some work done tomorrow rather than playing with the new toy.

It is so nice to carry the light fellow around instead of the usual suitcase.

I take it to work every day and I can do anything I want with it. My single USB port is enhanced to 4 with a tiny Belkin hub. I use Photoshop all the time as I'm addicted to taking pictures. I have TV on wherever I go. I run Parallels. I never had to say "I wish I had a firewire port" so far. I got the external DVD drive, but don't use it very often. The screen is bright and clear. The keyboard is very comfortable. It's a great little computer.
If I want to do something processor-intensive, I use my MP at home. I don't have to edit movies on-the-go.

I'd say, go for it.
I couldn't agree with you more. I was extremely skeptical of the MBA when I first saw it claiming that the lack of an optical drive was foolish and that one USB would be ridiculously limiting. The more I saw the Air on TV and Apple's website the more I wanted it. It worked that both of my previous laptops both died during the same week but I would have gotten a regular black MB but it was my parents' idea to get the Air since I travel pretty frequently. I'm actually going to be traveling for the first time since getting the Air on Friday and I can't wait for how easy and light it's going to be.

I've got about 20 GB of free hard drive space but I have the 500 GB external for everything that absolutely doesn't have to be on the laptop at all times.

The MBA has 2 GB of memory. iPhone 2 won't get close.

I was only trying to make the point that its not the most powerful or speced device. Before you start about portabilty, I've been using a sony vaio tx (now tz) series for 2.5 years they did then what the mac book air did on release this year. It also is smaller, a battery life that actually makes it PORTABLE, it has built in optical drive and more ports.

I also use a Mac so please don't go down the road of PC lover!

That's nice

But it's so darn ugly.
