help with garage band

i just got a imac a few month ago and i don't know how to use garage band, can someone tell me step by step how to create a ringtone

option 1)

Import a song from itunes or where ever on your compute

Mark where you'd like to start the loop and pressing "apple + T" to create a split.

Now go to the end of the end of the sample you want, and do the same "apple +T"

erase the first clip and the last clip leaving only the section you want as a ringtone.

click the loop button and make sure it covers the entire clip you want.

you can also add fades within the track

go the the "share" in the file menu and click "send to itunes as ringtone"

option 2)

make your own song, or use a loop form the menu

make sure its less than 40 seconds, and click the loop button

go the the "share" in the file menu and click "send to itunes as ringtone"
