Default Day tracker???

This is more along the lines of an itouch --> macbook post... so sorry for the confusion,

BUT

i'm trying to locate a type of software other than iCal or Entourage where i can track my day to day activities.. not necessarily by time but just in general. i'd like to be able to say.. "ok i did this, this, and this yesterday" or "i need to do this this and this tomorrow"

is there any good apps out there that can be utilized on both the touch and the macbook?

thanks in advance

it's just that the whole time aspect of these calendar programs is annoying because i dont always keep track of how long i did something for

Might be overkill for you but how about OmniFocus or Things? Remember the Milk, or MacJournal? Though I'm not sure MacJournal has it's iphone/touch app out yet....

I tried RTM but didn't like the idea of my 'stuff' being on someone else's cloud. I use mobileme with no qualms...call me strange.

I really liked Things at first, but the development really slowed down and I found the UI great but the engine lacking.

Have been using OmniFocus for a little over two weeks. Their support 'ninjas' are phenomenal and the program is just right for me. On both platforms: mac and iphone. Sync is awesome and the location based context ability on the iPhone has made me so much more efficient.

Between Things and OF, I tried Iambic's Agendus for the iPhone. Way behind in features. Not even close to their original Action Names from almost a decade back for the Palm platform. The iPhone version has almost nothing but a very limited Task management system. No calendar integration like Agendus for the Palm. Sorely disappointed and I certainly tried to like it because I was an Agendus Pro fanatic....

My two pence....

I am big fan of Things for both mac and iPhone. It syncs perfectly over wifi and is just what I need. It is a but pricey for the couple but worth it in my opinion.
