"So far no" what? It won't sync contacts and appointments? That can't be what you mean.

i'm not a guru either fute- but i am most certain of this...seeing that the iPhone is running osX, it should run most of the programs that you see on the desktop...like the ofc for mac...man they better have that...but is that considered a 3rd party app?

Default Compose in Excel & Word?

Just watched the Apple "guided tour" video at http://www.apple.com/iphone/usingiphone/guidedtour.html . It says you can read email attachments that are Excel and Word.

Does anyone know if you will be able to COMPOSE in Excel and Word? I guess I was dreaming when I thought you'd be able to store a couple work folders and use this like a limited version of a laptop.

That would be nice, but we are not their target customer. They are not accomodating the business professional from what I understand. they are releasing a device for "entertainment" which aparently does not satisfy our professional needs. If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know. Untill then I will have to stick with my Pocket PC or cary two devices, which I really do not want to do.

Question Badly Needed

I am concerned that there is no way to sync memos, notes or to-do lists on the iPhone. Rats! Any ideas?
