I almost never use iTunes except for occasional sync. It's a dog on my PC ...

How do you get the play count from your iPhone to display instead of the play count from iTunes? I tried clicking on the iPhone tab and then clicking on music, but the play counts it lists are the same from my iTunes.

yeah, i don't think you can. My intent was to make this about your computer's media player. i guess i'll edit the OP.

I'd never really used it before getting the iPhone. I have a pretty decent laptop, and yeah iTunes is a huge resource hog. I fire it up for the minimum amount of time required ...
