Trying to update itunes via Help --> Check for Updates....nothing happens
it says download 7.7 available do you want to update. I click download update and nothing happens. Does that mean that the servers are just overloaded?

I have the same problem. I tried clicking "check for updates" again, and now it says "This version (7.6.2) is the current version." It's probably not updated on all the servers yet or something. The same type of thing happened when Firefox 3 came out. Just wait another hour or so, and it should work.

To be honest, its just as easy to go directly to the apple site in the iTunes tab and download from there. Thats what I did and works just as well as the update in the program.
