Default Subscribing question & using Apple TV

Here's what I want my 'computers' to do:

1. Download automatically podcasts (Leo Laporte for example)
2. Have iTunes or Apple TV act as a 'server' so that when I
want to listen to a podcast on my iPhone, the most recent podcast will be
available.
3. I want to only have to set this stuff up once.

4. Are there neat things I can do with Apple TV 3.0?

I'd think these things are possible, I just need to be pointed in the
right direction.

Appletv works more like a client than a server. Think of it as a big iPod. I haven't noticed much different with 3.0 apart from the new interface.

So if you're just trying to auto-download podcasts and sync them to your iPhone, an appletv won't really help.

I'm starting to get it. Thanks acosmichippo.
I contacted one of the'broadcasters' and they didn't want to
go the 'pod' route, they wanted real live listeners (talkradioone).

Can you recommend a Mac easy "do it yourself" radio station
site?

You're looking to start your own online radio? Sorry, I wouldn't know where to begin with that.
