streaming radio on iphone

I do not own an iphone, but i know of programs that allow you to stream shoutcast on a phone.

Can the iphone load streaming radio? I *heard* it had itunes but it seems more like its the ipod software with some album art.... anyway the question remains...

can i stream music over the internet (the edge network) on the iphones w/ its current software, if not will the existing 3rd party java applications work? those applications are limited by a phone's ability to let a java application access the music player

I'm really looking for something also but AFAIK streaming doesn't work. I haven't found anything that works yet. You can download MP3s and they'll play but I know that's not the same thing. Shoutcast also doesn't work.

If you are looking for a company to restream a station to the iPhone then you could try the guys who did ours. http://www.ProRadioStreaming.com works a treat http://m.slinky.fm

Those other posts are from 2007, so they might not be around anymore.

Oh ok, it seems current though since the news about Sirius now aiming to stream to the iPhone. Strange how things come around!
