QuickTime doesn't work - iPhone 3G

I have never had Itunes or Quicktime, and decided one day to get it, because I got my new itouch. I downloaded the whole pack, Quicktime and all. I clicked on the icon for itunes, and waited a long time. Finally, an error message came up. It was one of those error reports, to send or not. I did this a couple times until I got angry. The same happened with Quicktime. Weeks went on, and I still was trying things with itunes. It came to me from learning that itunes wasnt working because quicktime wasnt. I looked at the quicktime system requirments, and I had every single one of them, or better (it noted "or higher" on the ones). Can somebody give me advice on why it isnt working? I would be very greatful.

First, why dont you try uninstalling and reinstalling them, and then restart your computer...things like that.

This has a high chance of fixing your problem.

Like I havnt tried that. Thanks anyway. Plus, quicktime wont uninstall, a "fatal error" occurs. I need help with that too.

edit: Wait, I read just now that a competing software will stop it from working. (windows media player) i will try that.

Another edit: That didnt work either. Still need help!
