new to itunes

i have had an iphone since they came out but all i ever did was sync to itunes. tonight i started tinkering around getting artwork and makeing playlists. my problem is i uploaded a few cds and there is more than one folder for the same cd. for instance there is 5 folders with 2 songs each. how would i consolidate this into one folder?

Usually this occurs because the tags in the songs differ slightly. IOW, some songs on the same album may have different artist(s). ALL of the tags that describe the album have to be exactly the same for each song in said album for itunes to group them together. Once in a while it's tricky to figure out exactly which tag is the culprit. When this happens, i just make a note of all of the important info i want, clear ALL of the tags, and manually enter the info i want.
