New install help...

So I have absoultely no prior experience with Itunes. My comp crashed tonight, and I had to reformat, which means a fresh install of Itunes. Since it's a fresh install, and I lost all my music, how can I get the music on the phone to sync with Itunes? It wants to wipe my phone clean.

There's software available that will do what you're looking for. Not sure which one works better than the other. If ya do some poking around here, you can find links/suggestions to different programs.

In the future...might I also recommend an external hard drive! That way when all else fails, you still have a backup to fall back on. I just moved my library to an old 80 gig HD. MUCH safer that way.
