ITunes & Contacts ?

Have a dumb question, new to Itunes ( well sort of) just got Iphone and was wondering if there was a section in ITunes that you can type in contacts, phone numbers, addresses etc and sync with the IPhone....like one could with a PDA ( Palm )

iTunes is not a contact manager but you can use yahoo or gmail to sync to your phone and edit them on the computer/phone and it will sync.
