Default Apps in iTunes Greyed out

Hi all!
I'm new to all this iTunes and Ipod stuff but I've had my Iphone for a year now and I'm always confused with itunes.
I hooked my iphone up to itunes today and see that my applications area is all greyed out. I can not scroll through the pages as it appears on my iphone. Also i do not see the other applications that I had purchsed but have taken off the iphone.
Both my iphone and itunes are on the current versions.

Can someone help me please? So confused with this stuff.

Thanks in advance,
Billy

Is the Sync Applications box still checked in that tab?

Nope and when I click it it says
Are you sure you want to sync applications? All existing applications and their data on the Iphone will be replaced with applications from this itune library.
I don't want to loose my data in some of my applications.

In the previous version of itunes i was able to freely move applications in itunes from page to page and then it changed it on my iphone. Also in itunes it use to show all the applications I ever purchased but now it looks as if shows only the ones on my iphone. How to i get the ones I bought but took off to show up again in case I wanted to put them back on the iphone?

Thanks

The iTunes store keeps track of previous purchases - those apps you downloaded and then proceeded to delete.

If you have apps on your phone but not on one of your PCs, you can connect to iTunes, right-click on your iPhone and select "Transfer Purchases" to load purchased apps from iPhone to that PC's instance.

Does this help?

rojo,
I did this originally to get my apps to show up becasue at first there was nothing there. It only shows the ones I have on my iphone now. The previous version of iTunes showed all the ones I have ever purchased since I had my phone that included the ones on the phone and the ones i deleted.
