ITouch not playing completesongs, help

The touch only plays a couple of seconds on songs then it will skip to the next song... the amount of time it plays varries song to song but is allways the same length on each song. If I slide past the point that it stops it will play the rest of the song. Anyone hear anything about this... BTW all the songs were purchased and installed from ITunes.

i completley removed everything from the itouch then reloaded the songs back onto it. they still skip but at a different part of the song now.... they play staright through on the lap top they were downloaded onto.... no ideas ?

I have one song that does this... but not sure of the answer... same songs is on an older ipod and works fine.....
