Don't buy applications from the iPod, purchase them from iTunes and sync them to your iPod.

Syncing from i tunes is better? Why is that? I don't doubt you I am just wondering why that is.

I really don't know, I've purchased applications from the application store on the iPod and it seems to crash a lot more. When I sync my applications from iTunes they don't crash. Try it some day.

I will have to give that a try, but after the second i pod touch crashed the same way, I am a little gun shy of apps right now as it is a pain to completely recover every time it erases you're entire music library.

Coming to think about it, I probably didn't need a new i pod, as it was an app problem, never the less it is a hassle starting over again.
