Default HELP! my ipod touch is down!

Recently,i tried to upgrade my ipod to firmware 2.1, and i succeeded, well to be precise, i got to the last step where it says "please wait until your ipod is blah blah blah, and on the message it says this message will be deleted in ~seconds. after that.. usually im supposed to have a new settings for ipod etc, etc. but this time i got nothing! nothing at all... i tried to turn on my ipod, it didnt work... i couldn't turn it on..it was just a black screen. it wasn't even detected on itunes or the computer so there was no way i could reset/restore it. the holding the home and the power button method doesnt work because my ipod doesnt turn on. Please... if anyone can help me get through this! need a reply a.s.a.p. thx in advance!

Default

Try putting it in DFU mode. Hold both Home and Power button for 10 secs, then release only the power button, while still holding the home button for 10 additional secs then the apple logo should appear. Do this while it's connected to pc then iTunes should pop with message iTunes detects iPod in recovery mode. Then you should have the option to restore again. Hope that helps
