Default Can't connect via 8080

I am on a Windows Vista system and using a iTouch. I have several Apps that connect using Wi-Fi local:8080.

The connection is painfully slow and frequently gives me messages that it cannot be found on the Network or will time-out. I'm at a loss where I should be looking for problems or what could be causing it.

Make sure bonjour is running. That port 8080 address is apple's bonjour service so my guess is that you are either killing the service or windows is. ctrl alt delete to see if bonjour is running.

Bonjour is running and afaik, nothing is killing it. In fact, it works -- sometimes,

Well I'm not on vista but maybe it has something to do with administrator privileges.

Are you connected via a router, or an adhoc wireless network between the computer and the iPod?
