Wondering whether to upgrade my iPod

Hey, my iPod Touch 1st GEN is currently using 1.1.5 software and I am wondering whether to update it or not by paying £5.99 (£) for the software 2.2.

I was just wondering is it worth it (anyone done it) and can I get games and applications from the store which actually will go on my iPod?

While i think it's unfortunate you have to pay for it, it IS worth it. ALL apps from the app store (except those that require GPS) will work fine on your ipod. So all games, radio, etc... just about everything.

Global Positioning System. Only the 3G iPhone currently has this feature... don't worry, though, not many apps require it.

oh yes! its definitely worth it. not having 2.x makes your ipod touch just an ipod.
