Default Where did the new app get installed?

I have 9 dots at the bottom of my iPod Touch screen indicating 9 pages of applications. Now when I download a new application, the wi-fi indicator shows a download taking place, but the application will not cause a new page to be created and I cannot find it anywhere. Where did this new application go? And is there a way to manually create new application pages so I can organize my apps?

"About" under "General Settings" shows I still have a gig of memory left.

You only get 9 pages of apps. It doesnt matter how much space you have left--the cutoff is nine pages.
