Windows media on touch

Ok, I want to get windows media on my ipod touch so I can access some videos on the net. Will jailbreaking help with this?

Also, could someone briefly describe what jailbreaking is? I am still somewhat confused about what it really is. I have the Jan upgrades.

IMO it will never happen
You just have to convert your videos and stream from the nifty youtube button on the phone

Well, the videos are just from websites that I believe you need WMP to view. Can I still stream them?

Also, can you explain what jailbreaking is and what is does.

No you cannot stream them. You can only stream mpeg videos that are H.264 codec.
Like i said, there is a custom youtube for the iphone that has a lot of videos.
Secondly, jailbreaking is installing a program on your phone that allows it to download and install custom apps.

Jailbreaking is a process that places an application called Installer onto the phone. It allows the iPhone to run un-signed code. There are hundreds of applications, such as video recording applications, drawing applications, pianos, guitars, etc. - available for download most for free. You can also theme the iPhone - change the background and icons.

Note that jailbreaking is not supported by Apple. It is a form of hacking, and is looked down upon by the company. However, it is perfectly legal. Also note that third-party applications will be available from Apple this June.
