You meant Jailbreak, unlocking is for changing carriers.
I Jailbroke my kids ipod touch 3 days ago.
Those directions didn't work for me tho(Those directions work fine for the iphone)....I used "Quick Freedom" to Jail break the ipod touch 2g with the 2.2.1 firmware with the "A" on the end.
It would not get past this step.Step 6
QuickPwn will check to verify that the ipsw file is valid. After completetion of the verification, click the blue arrow button to proceed.

3G 3.12 Blackra1ned and kids 2G Blackra1ned Ipod Touch
If so,that i really don't know, did you try other ways? Or maybe you can do that once again and see if it works.
I havent owned an ipod touch. What does jailbreaking do for it? Is it similar to what it does for iPhone?
I've jailbroken 6 2nd Generation iPod touch's so far using QuickFreedom. It's very simple to do and gives you all the benefits that jailbreaking an iPhone gives..... except for the phone and camera apps.
