SSH apps not showing

So i did a test because i want to give a friend some apps from my iphone to put on his ipod touch. I ssh into my iphone and got shazam for laughs because i know you can not get this in the app store through an ipod touch. I installed it, changed the permissions to 755 (although winscp changes it to 0755). Then i ssh into ipod touch and copied the long folder, it was like Fh1......... into the applications folder inside of the mobile root folder. I changed the permissions to 755 and opened up shazam on ipodtouch. Needless to say it opened but closed because i guess the ipod touch doesnt like the program.. Well I have the great game baseball superstars 2009 on my iphone. I did the same thing copied it to the computer and then to the ipod touch, changed the permissions, but it will not show in the touch even after i do a respring. Can games not be installed?
