Really Really Stupid Question
Why would or why should I unlock my phone? is that what jailbreak is ? if not what is it and what will it do ???

yea i think you should totally jailbreak it. it's not hard at all and it allow's you to download third party apps. and even if you don't want third party apps you get all the apps you get with the software upgrade for free with jailbreak 1.1.4.
