just go in to i tunes with your pod plugged in and hit restore this worked for me even with my pod off. i will take i tunes about 10 mins to download the resore and it will restore it auto after the d/l is finished
You have to hold down shift, and then press restore, and keep shift held down until it lets you select your own restore file. If you just click on the button, it'll download 1.1.2, which is not what you want.
