Press and hold the home button and the sleep button at the same time until the iPod shuts off. Then let go of the sleep button while still keeping the home button pressed. Then with that being pressed, plug it into iTunes and keep pressing the home button until you see the iTunes symbol and the plug. Hopefully the computer will recognize it and you can restore.
...but by what you said about the black screen and you cant do a thing, I'm not too sure that will work, but it doesnt hurt to try.

when i unplug it and plug it back in it say a ipod has been detected but cant identified properly please disconnect and reconnect ipod error 1600
the screen wont turn on but when i plug it in it says DFU mode
and itunes just says waiting for ipod
