ipod touch... modding..Help please - iPhone 3G

this weekend i will be going to visit family in my hometown and he wants help modding the ipod touch...

there are different suggestions out there.... i know of jailbreakme.com and dn.vc/jb... what method do people suggest using ... thanks

I've used jailbreakme on quite a number of iPhones and it works great. I've never tested it on an iTouch, but that's the method I'd suggest. Plus they just updated it yesterday so it works even better.

customize is crashing like crazy on ipod touch... suggestions.....?????

Check the permissions on the the App. That's the only thing I can think of.

Customize is pretty buggy on the 1.1.1 firmware.

I have heard the same in other forums. I don't use customize myself though

I think you have to FTP to the touch then find the right files right click and change them that way.

Try googling winSCP, putty, cuteFTP, some are Mac some are windows. you install them on your computer then get your touch's ip address then you should be good. Again I have not done this before, some maybe someone else can better explain.
