Anybody Jailbreak your Touch yet? - iPhone 3G

my friend has a touch... I'm helping him with that.. In modding the touch... I'm thinkng of doing the jailbreak.com thing .... Is that a good mehod ??? Can you use all the apps in apptapp/ installer??

Mostly intestred in NES, summerboard, rsbt, ishare....

On the touch safari browser I went to this link dn.vc/jb. (credit: planetbeing at ipodtouchfans) It took like 30 sec to jail break. then go to installer and DL community services, from there you should be able to find all those apps you mention above.. no computer required. Obviously do at your own risk, but mine worked great!

My friend's getting a touch, and paying me $100 to mod it. I know, I should just tell him how to do it and that it's easy, but he doesn't know that. He thinks it involves all kinds of computer savyness, which he doesn't have.

thats true...most it depends. getting the apps on there is easy, but if you want to rearrange the icons/sliders using SFTP it can get tricky. for me it took me awhile but now my touch is basically custom with a custom slider, rearranged icons, with my own theme, etc...thats the hard part which involves computer skills.

OMG it took me a while to get my touch to jailbreak since I could not get any real answers from a lot of places, but finally found out that I needed to download the v1.1.1 firmware. So beyond that, I love the JAILBREAK!!!

Just Jailbroke again last night, since I got a little bored and wanted some Games, so far I have added some NES games and iphone apps (which is much easier now).
