Actually that link is old. It has changed to tiny url .com/36dsyz
No space between the tiny and url and the dot com

But yes you can do a restore. By the way that link only works if you are running firmware 1.1.1.

Thanx. So I can use the same downgrade method I used for the iphone in itunes? U have to excuse me, but as u can see I am not very computer literate, but I'm trying to get the hang of this. Please bear with me.

Yes hit Shift and Click the restore button, chose the firmware you want to update to 1.1.1 or whatever then your should be good.

I tried to jailbreak my itouch. I used the thread from the dev team to downgrade to 1.1.1 When i finished , I got an error message saying the ipod couldn't be restored. My question is, Do I have to DL ibricker also?? If not, what should I do?

Just download "Customize" from Installer.

I have never had to use ibricker. Might want to try again. I did it again last night it worked fine.. when pluged in to itunes hit shift button then click restore select the 1.1.1 firmware and open. the rest should be automatic. the do the jailbreak

I have 1.1.2 and I have read somewhere that this version has been jailbroken, but I can't find the download anywhere.

I don't really want to downgrade if there is a new jailbreak version out. Any advice?

Its so easy to jailbreak by downgrading first... Maybe you should try that...
