Default Apple In-ear earphone question (only owners please)

How do the wires feel like? Like whats the quality on it (rubber or plastic)? Do they feel like the same ones as the one that comes with the iphone and the iPods? Or does it have a "rubbery" feel to it (read below).

OH AND ALSO: Are the earphones split in perfect twos? By that, I mean is it basically like the earphones that came with your iPhone/iPod. Like I hate those damn earphones where one is shorter then the other because it's suppose to go around your neck or something.

Details (in case you have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about).

Okay.... so you know the earphones that came with your iPod nano, video, classic, iPHone? NOT THE SHUFFLE. Is the in-ear earphones made out of the same materials as the earphones that came with those iPods?

In case you didn't know, the shuffle comes with a different pair of earphones. The quality of the speakers is the same, but the wires feel, for a lack of better words, "rubbery". It was much shorter then the ones that came with the iPods i mentioned above and it was definetly subpar compared to the "plastic" wired earphones. This "rubbery" wired earphone was something I hated.

The reason why I'm asking this is because I have a pair of Sony and Bose in-ear earphones. They're both broken now, but the wires on those were the exact same as the "rubberY" material I just described on the shuffle earphones. I HATED THAT FEEL ON THE WIRES!! I much prefered the "plastic" wired earphones that came with my iPhone and my iPod nano.

The earbuds I got with my iPhone feel exactly the same as the ones I got with my iPod touch 1st gen and my daughters iPod nano 4th gen except the iPhones have the mic for phone use. The wires do not feel rubbery.

Okay I know that. I'm asking if the in-ear earphones feel the same as the ones that came with your iPhone and iPods.

Like I mentioned on my post (something tells me no ones even bothering to read the whole thing); What I am afraid of is to get the earphones and be disappointed that the wires are rubbery instead of plastic-y like the ones that come with the iPhone. And I'm also afraid that one side is going to be longer then the other.

I appreciate the help. I know you had no intention to, but I couldn't but feel like you were patronizing me with the "they go IN your EAR" part of your post. Yes, I know that, hence the name of the earphones are IN-EAR earphones. :P

Sorry but I guess my post wasn't clear enough. It seems like everyone's missing the point entirely (or I'm not 100% understanding the replies). I think I'm just going to gamble and get the earphones. Truth be told, explaining this is a lot harder then just getting the earphones and regretting it. I wish I could just show you in person what I'm talking about but since that's not possible....

One of the ladies at work as them.. They're made of the same material as the earphones that came with my 5th gen 80gb ipod, and my 2nd 32gb touch.. The cable is symmetrical, I don't like asymmetrical earphones either..

Honestly though.. Do yourself a favour and get a pair of asymmetrical sennheisers, shures or similar earphones.. That's one thing I don't understand about iPods.. They're the most hyped up, probably expensive mp3 player in the world.. and they give you such a crummy, poor sounding pair of earphones to go with it..
