I have an earlier generation and it's been rock solid. I think sweat alone won't affect it. The shuffles don't appear to have any major gaps that would allow water to affect the internals.

Yes i would have to agree, my thing is when i run i do so for usually at least an hour and work up quite a sweat. Like u said there isnt many places for moisture tp get in but wasnt sure if they were going to be as anal about this as they are with a wet iphone.

There's an issue (with alot of threads on Apple's support forum) about sweat/moisture getting into the remote control on the headphones, causing the units to lock up, etc. Apple's "patch" for the original problem was to require separate clicks to raise or lower the volume (you used to be able to hold + or - to raise or lower the volume, now you must press repeatedly).
