upgrade ipod firmware?

I have the older 30gb ipod video. Can you upgrade the firmware so it has the features of the new ipod, ie coverflow

I have the 5g iPod and I plugged it in a few weeks ago and it downloaded new software update, but no, nothing like coverflow.

I believe there are instructions on upgrading the firmware to give you the Coverflow appearance.

I did the hack to make my 30GB iPod menu look like the iPod classic menu a long time ago, also you can't get coverflow with the hack.
